NEW SWANWICK BUS STOPS

From 17 May 2026, bus routes 743, 744 and 745 and the Coles Bay to Bicheno Primary
School bus will travel via Swanwick. New stops will be installed on Hazards View Drive, near Georgia Court, to improve access to public transport and better serve the growing Swanwick community. Passengers should plan their journey before they travel using a journey planning app, such as Google Maps, as stop times will change by up to 15 minutes.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Fare-Free Public Transport Across Tasmania

We are pleased to advise that the Tasmanian Government has introduced a temporary fare-free public transport period across Tasmania.

Effective Dates:
Monday, 30 March 2026 – Tuesday, 30 June 2026

Key Information

  • All bus fares will be free of charge during this period
  • Applies to all passengers, including adults, students, concession holders, and children
  • Covers all general access services and fare-charging school bus services

Hobart Transfers – Important Notice

During this period, online bookings for Hobart services will not be available.

📞 All Hobart transfer bookings must be made by phone during business hours only to ensure availability.

We will continue to provide updates as further information becomes available, including arrangements beyond 30 June 2026.

 

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

CHANGES TO TIMETABLE FROM 5TH MARCH 2026

From THURSDAY, 5 MARCH 2026, the weekday school-days only route 740 morning service from St Helens to Launceston will depart St Helens at 6:00 am and all following stops up to and including Epping Forest 15 minutes earlier, Perth 10 minutes earlier, arriving at launceston schools from 8:28 am.

The new timetable ensures students arrive on time for the start of the school day.

There are also small timetable changes on non-school weekdays and weekends.

🚫 E‑BIKES & E‑SCOOTERS POLICY NOTICE:

Calow’s Coaches will no longer be accepting e‑bikes or e‑scooters on any of our services.
This change is being introduced to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers and staff.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement this policy

STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Half price public transport fares have been extended for all customers.

This initiative was scheduled to end on 30 June 2025, but the policy has been extended by 12 months.

The period beyond 31 December 2025 (1 January 2026 – 30 June 2026) will be subject to the future State Budget
